Worked his entire life working in the industry and wouldn't use transit, eh?
Reminds me of the following.

During 1983, while in St. Louis, I couldn't help but notice that an employee
lot at one of the Chrysler plants was full of Ford, GM, Japanese and German
automobiles.

Mr.Josephson;

With your interest in autos you can probably detail the history
of the automakers disallowing 'foreign' autos in the employee
parking lots; they had to be from the mfgr didn't they. That has
obviously changed but I don't know when.

I know of transit employees who don't ride transit; don't know
the specific reasons beyond  'choice.'

Without a 'coast' but not a 'cause.'
