I think we all owe a lot to Derrick for making this list what it  
is.   There are other groups that rigidly police the subjects.   You  
can only talk about this trolley line, you cannot deviate, and you  
cannot really get to know people.

And then we have this list and because of it we have gotten to know  
people like Don Galt.

No.   Fred did not personally meet Don.

But Fred has had the distinct pleasure of personally meeting Mark,  
Herb, Ken, Derrick and several others.   I saw the Grateful Fred on  
Saturday.  I wonder how Fred Brunn is doing because we don't hear  
from him often and he is one of those I've met.    I'll see Rich  
Allman on Friday.  I don't know why I'm here ... perhaps because Ed  
or John Bromley or Jim Holland told Derrick to contact me in the  
first place.

If it had not been for Derrick allow us to run the list our way, the  
loss of Don would not have meant so much to some of us.

Thanks Derrick for letting us be us.
