Several years ago I had the pleasure of a visit from Don one day at the PTM
Library....a real gentleman who had a lot of brains. Always sorry to lose
people like that.

I think we all owe a lot to Derrick for making this list what it
is. There are other groups that rigidly police the subjects. You
can only talk about this trolley line, you cannot deviate, and you cannot
really get to know people.
And then we have this list and because of it we have gotten to know people
like Don Galt.
No. Fred did not personally meet Don.
But Fred has had the distinct pleasure of personally meeting Mark,
Herb, Ken, Derrick and several others. I saw the Grateful Fred on
Saturday. I wonder how Fred Brunn is doing because we don't hear
from him often and he is one of those I've met. I'll see Rich
Allman on Friday. I don't know why I'm here ... perhaps because Ed or John
Bromley or Jim Holland told Derrick to contact me in the first place.
If it had not been for Derrick allow us to run the list our way, the loss of
Don would not have meant so much to some of us.
Thanks Derrick for letting us be us.
Fred
