This communique is sent to you with Mark McGuire's permission.

It was his local friend Jerry Matsick that alerted me and suggested I  
telephone Mark and and try to cheer him up.

Short summary ... Marie, who has been Mark's long time girl friend,  
has had a long problem with alcoholism.   She is now in hospice,  
because of liver failure.   She was not expected to live through  
yesterday but she is on an up and down roller coaster.   She is still  
with us.   He is leaving the house right now to spend the night on a  
cot at hospice with her.   Some cases like this have been known last  
for months, others for hours.   Your thoughts, prayers, and whatever  
will be truly appreciated by Mark.
