The military does not say MOS is a JOB because an MOS is NOT a JOB.  The MOS is the persons training; the job is the duty assignment.  And when they match, the person is MOSQ for that duty assignment.

 

As I recall, Fred, you were trained in geology, which would be your MOS.  But your state JOB was a statistician.
