I, too, was fortunate that after Vietnam and graduate school the job I
took was in Atlanta. I can't imagine what trouble I would have had if I
had returned to Pittsburgh. (Even though I loved the place.)

I liked the area then. Looking back, I think my father, without
realizing how lucky he was, made a rather fortunate move from a job
in Ambridge to a job in Lancaster. He might have hung in there but
he did a lot better where he moved.
