It wasn't 1965, Fred. It was late January 1966. We had 55 inches of snow in Syracuse at the same time that Oswego had 108. I car pooled back to Syracuse, but we dumped the car in Erie at a relative of the driver. Boarded the "New England States" and told the conductor that I was surprised that they were only 2 hours late. He said that they were the train from the day before. I have pictures looking along a street, and only the roof top of the parked cars is visible.

I use to like winter. After two years in Syracuse, no longer liked winter. And we are becoming addicted to winter vacations in some point south - like the Caribbean.
