Attached are a couple of photos I took of the 82/85 line on Centre Ave.
between the Civic Arena and Sixth Avenue - the close-up view of the Civic
Arena (with catenary in upper right corner) was taken in January, 1963, and
view of the 1700-series PCC with the Bigelow Apartments to the left was
taken in mid-1966.
I'm not sure if these views help answer the feeder question.
The trolley line is gone now, and soon the Civic Arena too. Last month I
was interviewed on camera by Fox Sports for a report using my 1960-68 photos
of the Civic Arena (including the Centre Avenue trolley photo); nearly 50 of
my Civic Arena and Pittsburgh hockey photos have been posted on the
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette website this
year.
