I thought that might have happened. It looks like everything has changed
except the railroad bridge abutment, just behind the right hand bridge
pillar in the old photograph. Part of it now appears ~50 feet further up an
extended Brady St in Google street view:
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=Brady+St+pittsburgh&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Brady+St,+Pittsburgh,+Allegheny,+Pennsylvania+15219,+United+States&gl=uk&ei=XabYS6fnCtPE-Qbp5Mz7BQ&ved=0CAgQ8gEwAA&layer=c&cbll=40.436101,-79.972663&panoid=6GwEwS33N-N5Y7fnPqNaIQ&cbp=12,288.16,,0,-8.82&ll=40.436022,-79.972658&spn=0.011775,0.01929&z=16
There are warnings on a Pittsburgh cycling website of trolley tracks
breaking through the road surface in this area.

Yup. Remember that Second Avenue moved south, away from the tracks,
due to the Forbes/Allies parkway interchange there around 19(58?)
