Vague recollection that a sprinker system was a requirement for this new building.  Their experience serves as an example for others in the preservation world.  (this leaves a lot unsaid) 

 

Thankful that PTM is installing sprinker system in two older buildings.  And as a volunteer, thankful that original carbarn will get a concrete floor.  The ballast is both a safety issue and an eyesore.  I was blind to the latter until a comment was overheard.

 

Another problem is, PTM fleet again exceeds storage capacity.  Guess a warehouse is needed for some of the cars not ready for prime time.  At a minimum, someday an LRV will show up, fortunately not anytime soon.
