Vague recollection that a sprinker system was a requirement for this new building. Their experience serves as an example for others in the preservation world. (this leaves a lot unsaid)
Thankful that PTM is installing sprinker system in two older buildings. And as a volunteer, thankful that original carbarn will get a concrete floor. The ballast is both a safety issue and an eyesore. I was blind to the latter until a comment was overheard.
Another problem is, PTM fleet again exceeds storage capacity. Guess a warehouse is needed for some of the cars not ready for prime time. At a minimum, someday an LRV will show up, fortunately not anytime soon.
Cheers
John
