As I mentioned at some point recently, I am a conductor on the Cuyahoga
Valley Railroad running through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. One of
the items we receive for working on this railroad is a number of free passes
to give to whomever we wish. I still have seven (7) passes remaining for
this year. These MUST be used by the end of the year or they are lost. I do
get another batch of passes to give away on 1/1/11, but why waste these 2010
passes. We are now running the Winter schedule which means trains leave
Cleveland Rockside Road Station at 10:00 AM and 1:30 PM and the Akron
Northside/Downtown Station at 11:35 AM and 3:00 PM**. **NOTE: The 3:00 PM
trip leaving Akron is one-way to Cleveland and DOES NOT have a trip back to
Akron.
If anyone is interested in taking a train ride, I will gladly give you
tickets. The only restriction is that if you take the tickets, please use
the tickets. Do not say you want tickets, then I get them from the railroad
office and you don't show up. If any one wants to use them just let me know.
The dates they can be used are as follows:
Nov 20 Nov 21 Nov 27 Nov 28 Dec 4 Dec 5 Dec 11
Dec 12
It does, of course, require driving to either Cleveland, Ohio or Akron, Ohio
to spend a day on the railroad and see the national park. If you want more
information contact me via email at hrbran at cavtel.net
