Harold Lloyd drives a Pacific Electric trolley in Girl Shy (1924). The trolley scene is in last part of the second link below. All of these have typical chase scenes. If you want the entire film, you can find all nine sections in the right margin when you pull one of these.

North Shore Line 1945. The photographer was Charles Keevil, the one-time superintendent of electric vehicle design for Chicago Transit Authority. His nephew, Walter Keevil, replaced him in that job. Both were railfans and industry professionals. I think Walter is getting pretty close to retirement but they have to drag him out of the office.
