As an aside, La Crosse was the only system in Wisconsin, outside of
Milwaukee, to have streetcar service throughout World War II.. The last car
line was bustituted in 1945.

The late Ralph Weege and Kenneth Stendler, both of Wisconsin, saved one of
the double truck bodies and began a private restoration effort. Ralph
eventually bought out Ken and became the sole owner. The car is now in
another private collector's hands. After Ralph's death in late 1984, his
family offered the car to both IRM and the East Trolley group. Both rejected
the car, which required hard to find Brill Maximum Traction trucks. Last I
heard, the car is stored near West bend, Wisconsin.
