1555 probably on safety island on Stanwix at Penn with Horne's in background.

1793 on Penn turning onto 7th to head across 7th St. bridge. 15 used 6th st. bridge while 10 used 7th/9th St. bridges.

And 1740 is the easiest of all. Taken at about the location of the fare collector's booth at current day Castle Shannon LRT station looking towards the city end of the station. The apartments with tall chimneys on left behind foliage are still there. Why the easiest??? During an internal audit of high platform station conditions last fall, I told a PAT safety officer to take a good look at the Castle Shannon parking lot and I would send him a picture of what it looked like. I had in mind the --- 1019(?) fantrip which bent a pole at this wye. Instead sent this pix with a current day view looking down the platform.

Cheers
John

Interurban cars to Washington, Charleroi, Library or Drake which went outbound via Beechview would have proceeded straight ahead at this switch. The 38A loop was also the training track for prospective PRC motormen.
