Thank You, Mr.Netzlof,

Could you please provide the map between East McKeesport and
McKeesport?

Your observation seems logical.  As Mr.Brannon observed much
is left to the imagination as well.  What is in between the RR 'rails'
we see in the foreground and the freight cars on grade in the distance?
Is the valley deeper at that point?  The track in the distance could
be totally separate; it could also branch from a jct. of the 'rails' in the
foreground.  It could cross a trestle if a valley of some sort escapes
our notice.  We can't say much about the RR in the foreground
beyond 'rails' as that is the most one can see.

I disagree that being familiar with the valley today equates to 1906.
Everything was rural before the cities came wasn't it.  People stayed
close to the cities; outside it was very rural.

Anything could be mislabeled, this is true, but have we exhausted all
possibilities with the labeling?  Knowing we tend to do things the hard
(wrong) way first I am tempted to stick with the labeling.

Phil

PS -- Yahoo doesn't allow typing below without being a part of the "quote"
unless I can find something in preferences to change that.  Sorry.
