There are other charter trip photos in that series, including another one of
the July 1952 1614 trip, and one of the 1450 at Kennywood the day after
service ended on Rt 68.
The shot of the PCC on "Roscoe Loop" is interesting. Note the double end
car entering the loop. Was this a tripper or a fantrip? PRC called this
loop "Elco Loop," although as Ed L. has pointed out, it was not actually in
Elco but just at the border between Roscoe and Elco and wholly on the Roscoe
side. The reason for the Elco name was to distinguish it from the Roscoe
stop, which was at Downes Store, a short distance north of the loop. Downes
Store was, in addition to being the 1950s version of a convenience food
market, an agency station for PRC. Operators on this route usually took
spot time there, rather than at Elco.
