In the original photo which was taken on the Seventh St bridge shows the
Greyhound Silversides bus and PRCo car #4366 with the 12-Evergreen
destination sign. Somewhere in the email chaos which followed PRCo car
#4393 was "crowned" as the last car to run on the 12-Evergreen line. Was
this indeed the case or was #4366 the last to run on 12-Evergreen?
I have a list of PRCo Car House Assignments dated 1/1/1952 which shows 4393
assigned to Glenwood CH. It also shows 4366 assigned to Keating CH. In the
book, Pittsburgh Railways Vol I, by R Beal, the section on Rt 12-Evergreen
has two photos of car #4366 running that line. One of the photos is
labeled, "#4366 on East St.". However, it looks more like North Avenue
inasmuch as what looks like old Allegheny General Hospital is in the
background at the same angle it would be on North Avenue. The destination
sign shows 12-Evergreen and the car number (4366) is showing. The location
(either North Av or
East St) is moot to my discussion, however. The photographer is one
Clifford Scholes. The second photo of #4366 is labeled, "#4366 at end of
line (PHB&NC connection)". The car number clearly shows 4366 and the
destination sign reads 12-Evergreen. No credit is given to a photographer.
Unfortunately no dates are given for either photo.

Again, would the last car, Rt 12-Evergreen, have been 4366 or did 4393 get
transferred from Glenwood to Keating?
