The White Castle history indicates that several were built in Pittsburgh in
the 1930s/40s. It's for that reason I said the building in the photo (back
on topic) may have been an old, closed down White Tower OR White Castle and
in 1979 was under private ownership, especially since no signs are visible
on the structure.
