Mr.Long,
Classic they are. Large, sumptuous, sink-in-the-seat comfortable aren't they.
Deluxe service is what comes to mind. Pampering, almost too good to
believe. And we missed it didn't we. They are nice to see in museums
but riding in the trolleys own element is a whole other experience.

>I wish I saw the Pgh Kuhlman cars but they were gone about 6-years before my birth.ÃÂ They were combinations as well and longer than any of the Butler cars.ÃÂ A few Butler cars were close in length but many were only 46' or 48'; they always look larger in pictures.ÃÂ Prc cars, of course, were single-end.ÃÂ Handsome cars but also overly fond of electricity weren't they?ÃÂ Heavy as well; they would do a real number on track and special work in addition to increasing electricity costs significantly.

>>That is not so far fetched.àEvery photo Iââ¬â¢ve seen of a Harmony Route interurban, even of the Gunboats, shows a combination car.àA bicycle could easily have been stowed in the baggage compartment.àAlso, Harmony cars were two man right to the end so there was no problem with sufficient ââ¬Åperson powerâ⬠to hoist a bike up into the baggage compartment and to lower it back down to the ground. Probably even a small motorcycle could have been accommodated. But Iââ¬â¢m assuming that Derrickââ¬â¢s bike is a pedal bike, not a motor bike.
>>
>>Perhaps Derrick will tell us more about his rides on those cars.àBefore my time, unfortunately, although Iââ¬â¢ve seen plenty of remains of the line.
