I live on Brownsville Road about one block North of Brentwood Loop. The
next major street North of my building is Sankey Avenue. North of
SankeyAvenue the city of Pittsburgh occupies both sides of Brownsville
Road.
South of Sankey Avenue, all the way to Brentwood Loop, the city of
Pittsburgh (Carrick district) occupies the West side of Brownsville and the
Borough of Brentwood occupies the East side of Brownsville. However, it all
looks like Carson Street in South Side Flats, Liberty Avenue in Bloomfield,
Butler Street in Lawrenceville, or Murray Avenue in Squirrel Hill. So, I
just say I live in Carrick since it looks like any other combination
business/residential neighborhood in Pittsburgh anyway. If "push came to
shove" I would definitely vote to have the strip along Brownsville between
Sankey Avenue and Brentwood Loop annexed to the city of Pittsburgh.

Then, of course, South of Brentwood Loop, the Borough of Brentwood occupies
both sides of Brownsville Road. They have front yards from there South !! A
"front yard" is something I can definitely do without also. I do my voting
in Brentwood and have the Police, Fire, and EMS services of Brentwood.
Otherwise it looks and feels just like the other side of the street which
is in Pittsburgh. Comprende` ?
