I too have just disable my two Java programs. Yesterday and today I have
been receiving a warning screen, randomly, from Microsoft which indicated
that "......the software you are installing (Activity Tracker) may cause
harm to your computer." Well, I was not installing any software named
"Activity Tracker". The name alone sounds like "hacker" to me. Each time I
received the MS warning I clicked to button to "stop the installation". As
I said, I have now disabled Java in the event that had something to do with
this tracking software being installed in my pc.
Somewhat related is what happened to PNC Bank (my bank also) a few weeks
ago. Hackers were able to slow down the banks website to the point that it
took nearly 30 minutes to log on to my account. I stopped using the online
banking until the event was over.
