The same thing happened on the Allegheny Valley when the Cincinnati Curved Sides where introduced. From my notes taken while copying the Valley News Dispatch for the PTM archives.
2/26/1930

"The public has complained to the company about cars running
behind schedule due to the change to one man cars."
That was less than two weeks after the crs being put into service.
