Might have been afterwards.   Looks like an electrical "short circus."   But I fail to understand how you could have two shorts on the same car simultaneously.    This would hve to be in the late 1950s because of the cream front PCCs and at that time there were probably more than enough tow cars around to scrap one that had trouble.   I am forwarding to Dave Hamley by blind carbon to see if he remembers.
