My understanding is that cranberries were actually grown in the area.  But I
don't have any first-hand knowledge of that history.  Maybe the township has
a website that would prove to be enlightening?

How did this area come to be known as Cranberry?  In my day in the area it
was called Warrendale.

What changed?  And why?
