When I was research local trolley history here in Lancaster, I recorded what I saw in the local newspapers from the day when something happened, i.e. if it was May 22, 1890 and they recorded the first car running on East King Street, that went into my notes. However, if a Sunday feature 40 or 50 years later mentioned something, I never bothered to even waste time copying it. By age 23, I had already learned not to trust everything I saw in print.
