The long time, beloved Pirates announcer Rosey Rowswell, long before the televising of games, used to “create” the away game play by play from ticker tape. Whenever a Pirate (usually Ralph Kiner) hit a homer, he would exclaim “Open the window, Aunt Minnie, here she comes!” and then there would be a loud crashing sound.
You had to be a Pirates fan of long standing to appreciate this.
