Subject: [PRCo] slide scanning

Good morning,
It has been a while since any posts have appeared in my inbox from this
list, so I have a question to get some of you typing again. I bought an
Epson slide scanner and have been doing some experimenting with it. I
started at 600 dpi and was not happy with any of the darker images (I had to
lighten them in Photoshop Elements and they became grainy) so I went to
19000 and wow, what a difference. My question is, what dpi setting do you
use?
I have considered using 19000 and then cutting the file size by 50%.
I am saving them in tiff format.
