Certain people in Baltimore like to make up stories too. I'm on the BSM
library staff and I've never seen the "evidence." As I pointed out
earlier today to John Bromley, there is also a rumor floating around
that, because the Boston all-electrics (or at least one of them) had a
hole in the floor at the rear end for a bell tap, this was also
conclusive evidence. I saw the Pullman order books when I did the PCC
book ... the hand written volume ... and there was no record of a
Baltimore car, nor was there any record of any diversions for the Boston
cars.
Keep the rumors flowing ... its fun putting out brush fires. Of course
the fires will never be put out because everyone wants to be a believer.
