I am looking at the route cards for 306 Beltzhoover and 306A Brownsville
Ave. 306 began in February 1903 and used Brownsville Ave. to reach Carson
St. On 10-4-15 it was split into two parts: 306A, "operating between Carson
& Brownsville & Brownsville & Warrington." "Route 306B operates via 3rd
Ave. loop to Gearing & Chalfont via tunnel. Shuttle cars will operate via
Chalfont & Gearing to Climax & Beltzhoover."

10-3-21: "Beginning this date work on Brownsville Ave. removed rails on
inbound track about 2 squares below the intersection of Brownsville Ave. and
Warrington Ave. Because loading of trucks at the tipple located at the
north end of new Liberty Tunnel on Brownsville Ave. it is not practical to
use the outbound track for operation of the Brownsville shuttle car
operating on Brownsville Ave. between Carson St and the break on the inbound
track.

12-8-21: "Route discontinued this date. This action necessary owing to
construction of the new Liberty Tunnel. Service will not be resumed until
further notice."

Oct 1922: "Route again put in operation."

11-10-25: "#46 destination sign carried on cars."

10-19-27: Routes 306 (formerly 306B), destination 49, and 306A,
destination 46, combined under one (internal) schedule.

1-1-30: 46 via Brownsville Ave., 49 via tunnel; both went to Chalfont &
Gearing terminus.

1-11-41: "Route #49 discontinued on this date."

I also have the route cards for 51 in front of me. It never was anything
but a shuttle line, had one car on a 15-minute headway, originally operated
out of Suburban CH, then Carrick (during the years it was open). From
1-5-32 to 12-12-26 it ran rush hours only. Abandonment was 2-7-50.
