Carson Street bowed out towards the river about 100 yards east of 
the P&WV bridge - well to the west of the P&LE station - then 
back as we can see in this picture. The jog is of course 
considerably less pronounced than it appears in foreshortening.

The street followed this alignment at least until a very few years 
ago, if not to this day.
