I wonder why the 3001 had electrical problems? While Boston certainly had a
preference for P-S over St. Louis Car for a number of reasons, only GE &
Westinghouse provided electrical equipment for all U.S. PCCs. One would
think the Boston management people would have also shied away from
whichever of the two concerns supplied the electrical gear for the 3001.
