Yes Fred this does make sense. But I should have explained the photo further. It shows the Drake car on the 38A loop (the side closest to Castle Shannon Blvd.). I know because of the greenish office building(don't remember what it was called) on C.S. Blvd. that I used to drive past countless times. Looking at the PERC map of 1959, there is no connection to the interurban line outbound once turning onto the loop. Why not just go straight at the switch instead of turning onto the loop? I could see a 37 car turning onto the loop as there was a connection back to the interurban line inbound. But a Drake or Library car? Maybe in later years(1974 was the photo date), PAT made a connection outbound. Your explanation does make sense if the car was going straight instead of turning onto the loop. But on the loop??? As for the 35 car on the 37 loop, I'm totally stumped. Perhaps a COT car? Mark Mc
