In the outer edge building, the Crescent? I think that one is condemned as
of about 6 years ago, while the one closer to the tracks on Kelly is still
inhabited.

I assume this is where going "straight" on Talbot involves what can best
be described as an S curve.

I assume I'm just confused at their usage and that they mean "crossings";
Yost is just inbound of and Rockwood just outbound of a carbarn where now
a roller rink is in the basement of the Cost Building, I think. The Forest
Hills 75th anniversary book (nor any other source I've found) doesn't
indicate Yost ever cut diagonally behind said carbarn to Rockwood or
Rockwood diagnoal to Yost. In fact I'm pretty sure there's a picture in
said book from when Yost was built.
