I rode 1711 at PTM the weekend the Drake line shut down. It was before the
car was sent to Elmira. I remember looking under the car and being shocked
by the condition of the underside. That noted, I remember (and possibly
incorrectly) that the interior was no longer blue.
I asked either Ed or Scott Becker about that and one of them told me the
blue interiors were PAT era repaintings and the 1711 was repainted in PRCo
interior colors when the exterior was returned to its original red and
cream. The interior was a yellowish cream and brown(?) or something similar
before the car went to Elmira.
I think 1713 was still blue inside when PAT repainted the exterior in red
and cream, during the "pantograph era."
