Oregon is still Full Serve -- Self Serve against the law -- they
check oil and clean the windows. Usually forget that when I am up
there -- jump out of the car and prepare to pump gas and I Get
Attention Very Fast!! Basically very nice!
.
I don't view Self Serve as bad -- just evolutionary process.
Even many drugs are downgraded to OTC that were once prescription --
department stores are Mostly if not All Self-Serve -- many other
examples as well.
.
BE____Careful on Oregon highways -- highway patrol is Overly
Enthusiastic. Never received a ticket (never got caught??!!) but
had a cruiser follow me south on 101 - Coast Highway -- considerable
distance. (((This is when I had my VW Diesel Camper -- Great
Torque but Horrible For Speed -- had tractor trailers passing me
UpGrade on Freeways -- OFTEN!!!))) Finally pulled off the road
at Visitor Site and waited a spell -- never saw cruiser again.
.
Others have also indicated that Oregon highway patrol is quite
energetic. CAlifornians are not well liked up there but I never
really experienced problems. L-o-n-g---Ago I learned to say I am
from Pennsylvania (I__AM!!) -- not from CAlifornia!!!!!!! Why
the CA plates -- Rental Car?? Beautiful State, Oregon -- Very
Beautiful.
.
I was in a small Colorado town with one very small section that could be
considered Yuppified. Stopped in restaurant there and:::
One person brought place setting
Another One brought Water.
Another One brought Menu.
Another One served.
Another One asked about dessert.
.
Gross Overkill in service!!!

Janitors vs Custodial Engineers!!!!!!!
.
Not unlike Barbers // Haircuts. Some are particular about their
haircuts -- that's fine. I just like to walk in, get a haircut,
and leave. Walked into *_Barber___Shop_* (so I thought) in
Burlingame and one barber was occupied, 3 others standing there. I
was asked if I had an appointment? """NO!""" Each asked the
other if they could accommodate me and one begrudgingly did --
NO--One came into the shop while I was there. Cheeze__Whiz!
