Do not know date of map but remember that north of Castle Shannon it  
was originally Pittsburgh and Castle Shannon Railroad, a narrow gauge  
coal hauling railroad.   South of Castle Shannon the right of way  
was, I believe and EHL can confirm, part of the narrow gauge that  
became the B&O to Finleyville.   The spur is where the mine is at  
Washington Junction.   Suspect it was for removal of coal.
