The P&CS ended at Arlington (Mt. Lebanon Blvd.). The Pittsburgh Southern
track was long gone by the time the PC&W was built, and the property is
clearly identified as PC&W. I'm looking at the Ed Tennyson photo at
Washington Jct. With the mine buildings still in place for a clue, but the
streetcar blocks the view of the place we need to look! The tipple shows, as
do the two buildings between the substation and the building at the end of
the railway spur. This is one I don't think PhotoShop will help us solve!

Do not know date of map but remember that north of Castle Shannon it was
originally Pittsburgh and Castle Shannon Railroad, a narrow gauge
coal hauling railroad. South of Castle Shannon the right of way
was, I believe and EHL can confirm, part of the narrow gauge that
became the B&O to Finleyville. The spur is where the mine is at
Washington Junction. Suspect it was for removal of coal.
