3756 has a backup conroller, which I always assumed was original, but maybe not.  Ed???

Again, it was individuals reaching into their pockets to acquire the car, and at this point, probably almost impossible to determine why 3756 and not some other car.  Maybe just a car on scrap track that was available prior to the move, and had a connection with the interurban lines.  And maybe was the cheapest former interurban car available???  

Perhaps 4398 was acquired some two or three years later.  For several years in mid-1950s 3487 and 4398 were stored at Glenwood.  Were they kept there for security reasons, or until PERC could raise the cash to truck to Arden??   dunno.  But 4398 might have been used on a summer 1956 fantrip.
