And for the Christians ... remember that semi-spontaneous singing of the Hallelujah Chorus in Macy's Department store that I forwarded last week?
Can you imagine having lunch in a mall food court when people around you rise one by one and break into vocalizing Handel's masterpiece. This took place last November 13th at the Welland Seaway Mall outside of Niagara Falls, Ontario. It lacks that huge organ you heard before at the Wanamaker Store but it's still beautiful.

For those not included in my original mailing, on October 30th a multitude of choirs presented the Hallelujah Chorus in the former Wanamaker's store (now Macy's) in downtown, Philadelphia. The large bronze eagle on the ground floor was a symbol of that store and a smaller eagle was placed in all company stores before the Macy's takeover. It was a Philadelphia tradition as well as a Schneider family tradition to "meet me at the eagle." As a kid, when we went to Philly, dad would go his way, I would chase trolleys or buses or trains, my mother and sister would shop till they dropped and at five o'clock we would reunited at the eagle as the organ concert began.

Enjoy all of you.
