Mr.Lybarger,
The car had been identified as 4399 or 4333 neither of which is in the museum
listing for charters. All of us are aware of 4398 being used on charters in the
1950s aren't we.
Yes! A copy under glass, double exposure, photography thru the rear window of
an auto could cause the extra trolley pole and hanger to appear.
We also agree the car did not operate in Belle Vernon; this is what initiated all
the discussion. The original description with the photo was wrong. A couple of
us wrote to Mr.Beveridge and he immediately corrected the caption. We should
tell him about the date and car number, that the car is at PTM. He may want
to come and visit with you to learn more Mr.Lybarger! This is just a tongue-in-
cheek comment isn't it. You have posted at least twice in recent years you are
frustrated with his reporting aren't you. I believe you mentioned this within the
last couple of months as well.
Far more information than that of the photo has also been revealed hasn't it.
You are the leaven Mr.Lybarger. Thank you.
Phil

>It was a museum charter. There has been some adjustment of the sky, but the car is clearly westbound on Second Avenue west of the Brady Street Bridge. It's posed with someone's old auto. There are also photos of the car (4398) at Glenwood Car House that day.

>Pittsburgh Railways never operated on Route 906, or in Belle Vernon, and I would venture a strong guess that 4398 never saw the Charleroi/Donora area.
