Jim,
I can tell you all about what was going on in the PCC era, however, you
will need to find someone who is more knowledgeable about the current era
to answer your question. I seldom ride the T these days inasmuch as I
really don't live near a station. I have to drive from Brentwood down to
Castle Shannon or Washington Jct to find a parking lot for the T so it's
easier and faster to drive into the city and park at Station Square then
ride from there to the main downtown.
Bruce Wells, if you know him, may know about the current signal system.
