[PRCo] PRCo Deadly Streets

How's this stunt: In 1965 my brother-in-law was driving from downtown to Carrick.  Leaving downtown, the forward gears in his car's transmission stopped working, but reverse gear still worked.  His solution for getting home was to drive the car in reverse  across the Liberty Bridge, through the Liberty Tunnels and out Saw Mill Run Blvd.  True story.

As long as you're speaking of the Liberty Tunnels, here are two comparison
photos. One is the South Portal in 1932 and the other is an artist
rendering of how tthe South Portal will look in 2014 when the current
renovation of the tunnels is complete. As for the sidewalk through the
tunnel, it was removed in the last reconstruction in the 1970s.
